Examination into Medicine is an interpretation on an excerpt from The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Walter Benjamin. I created a book using a Turkish map fold because it fit my title of discovering something different about medicine each time you open a page. I interpreted his essay by juxtaposing medicine and how society takes advantage of what is easily available to them like over-the-counter drugs. It also portrays how the reproduction of medicine is now easily accessed through over-the-counter drugs and how people abuse the power of being able to buy certain drugs without a prescription from the doctor.
My book gradually talks about the evolution of medicine, starting from penicillin and in the end talking about how there is a bright future of finding cures for diseases.
